Career Counsellor Intern

About the role

Nuvix is looking for a Career Counsellor Intern to be the first friendly voice prospective learners meet. You will speak with engineers and students exploring our Forward Deployed Engineer tracks, understand their goals, and guide them to the right course or cohort. This is a hands-on internship for someone who enjoys talking to people, is organised, and wants to grow into a full-time counselling or growth role. You will be mentored directly by the founding team and see how a modern ed-tech platform runs end to end.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming enquiries across email, WhatsApp, and the website chat, and follow up with prospective learners.
• Understand each candidate's background and recommend the most relevant Foundation course or FDE track.
• Keep the CRM up to date — log every conversation, stage, and next action.
• Schedule and confirm counselling calls and demo sessions for the senior counsellors.
• Share honest, accurate information about curriculum, fees, and outcomes — never overpromise.
• Collect feedback from prospects and learners and pass insights to the curriculum and marketing teams.

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a graduate degree (any discipline).
• Excellent spoken and written English, Hindi any or multiple regional language is a plus.
• Genuine interest in education, technology careers, and helping people make good decisions.
• Organised and reliable — comfortable tracking many conversations without dropping any.
• Comfortable with everyday tools (spreadsheets, CRM, email, WhatsApp Business).
• No sales experience required — empathy and curiosity matter more.
